Through the hard work of arts advocates throughout Eastern Iowa, The Gazette launched Excellence in the Arts in 2023 to create an experience that would celebrate high school students making incredible contributions in the visual, digital and performing arts. This program includes telling the stories of student artists-all leading up to a night of celebration that will present students with achievement awards while providing a night for patrons to take in a variety of student led exhibits, performances and more.
Nominations for the Excellence in the Arts run through January 19th, with announcement of student honorees and plans for the March community event.
The arts are strong in Eastern Iowa. Thank you for supporting the next generation of artists and the mentors, advocates who support their dreams. Keep creating!
